Shipping costs can vary depending on several factors, including:

  • Trucking Fees – Werex Trans will pick up your vehicle from your doorstep and transport it to the nearest port. This service is optional and will be reflected in your quote. Alternatively, we offer port-to-port shipping, which doesn’t include trucking fees, but is only applicable for that specific shipping option.
  • Vehicle Size – The cost of shipping is usually similar for most sedans and standard SUVs. However, larger vehicles like SUVs (e.g., Chevy Suburbans) tend to incur higher shipping costs.
  • Distance from the USA – Shipping costs are generally lower to Europe compared to regions like the Middle East.
Our starting cost to ship cars overseas typically begins at $790 and may vary based on the specific details of your shipment.

Vehicle Import Tax, Duty, and Destination Handling Charge:

Each country has its own import tax and offloading fees, which will apply unless you’re in the U.S. Military or returning to your country of origin. We’ll make sure you’re fully aware of all the associated charges to ensure a smooth and hassle-free shipping experience.

Storage Fees:

Upon arrival at the destination port, you will usually have 5-7 days to pick up your vehicle. To ensure a smooth pickup, appoint a consignee who can handle the necessary payments for import duties and offloading fees.

Marine Insurance:

Marine insurance is optional but provides valuable coverage for potential damage to your vehicle during transit. The insurance costs 1.75% of the vehicle’s insured value, offering you peace of mind throughout the journey.

Typical Documents Required to Ship a Car Overseas:

International car shipping requires specific documentation, which may vary by destination country. Werex Trans will guide you through the necessary steps, helping you prepare essential documents such as the Original Title, Bill of Lading, Bill of Sale, and ID.

Vehicle Shipping Methods:

International RoRo Shipping (Roll-On Roll-Off):

Specialized ships, known as International RoRo Vessels, are specifically designed for transporting vehicles. These vessels make the loading and unloading of vehicles with tires (such as cars, motorcycles, motorhomes, trailers, buses, construction vehicles, and boats) quick and efficient.

RoRo shipping is ideal for transporting a single vehicle that can navigate the loading ramp independently. Once loaded, the vehicles are securely fastened in designated spots, similar to a parking garage inside the vessel.

Why Choose International RoRo Shipping?

RoRo shipping is highly efficient and cost-effective. It also guarantees reliable departure and arrival dates, much like an airline’s schedule. It’s preferred by car manufacturers for transporting new vehicles because it offers excellent protection against the elements, ensuring your car is shielded during its journey.

International RoRo shipping is especially beneficial for shippers because it provides reliable transport while adhering to precise timelines, ensuring a smoother and more predictable experience.
